Working with the talented animators at Animotion Inc. was the best education a young artist could get. During my 2 years with Animotion I learned much of what I know about process, project managment and the importance of asset organization, as well as master class in style, character creation and animation. A combination of 3D Studio Max, After Effects, and traditional 2D animation was used to create this 30-second spot for OCCRA. Basic character models and the environment were built in 3D to map out camera moves, then 2D artwork was drawn over the rendered animation. Finally, After Effects was used to composite the entire scene togther.
This was the very first commercial I worked on with Animotion, a 30-second spot for South American bank Caja Familia.
